Description
N 46° 52.733 E 12° 56.104

„Marterle“ which belongs to the village Rangersdorf, is the highest located pilgrimage church in Austria (altitude 1836 m) and can also be reached by car.
The cache is hidden somewhat west of the church as there are much better hiding possibilities - however, hiking skills are not necessary.
For mountain bikers it’s best to start in Witschdorf (N 46° 51.520
E 12° 56.782) at an altitude of about 835 m.
The hikers can start their tour in Rangersdorf (N 46° 51.736 E 12° 57.854) at an altitude of about 860 m. The path has been newly marked in the summer 2005.

I recommend the sporty cachers among you not to go back right after you’ve found the cache, but to walk on for approximately 50 minutes till you reach the coordinates N 46° 53.200 E 12° 55.950 (2283 m). There you can enjoy the marvellous panorama of the Mölltal mountains world.
