Hastings was a United States new and used retail store that sold books, movies, music, video games, and film novelties and collectibles. This is the location that Hastings spent many years at, before closing the store in October 2016, after the company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
This store was one of my favorite's to shop at as they had most anything a man, or woman, could want! My much better half also enjoyed this store, and we are saddened at the loss of Hastings. It truly is the ending of an era, as iTunes, Google Play, and other mainstream stores have taken away their business.
One piece of information to note is that most of the items Hastings sold were cheaper than other stores, with a wider variety.
Who knows what will happen with this old building but I hope that it will bring another opportunity to enjoy shopping in Maryville.
