Antennas Cache

This Cache is anything than easy to find. It’s our second cache andrather special.

It’s located in the Ecuadorian mountains between Loja and Zamora.

I hid this cache during an Internship on the ecological research station“Estacion Cientifica San Francisco (ECSF)” which is powered by the DFGFoundation. (http://www.tropicalmountainforest.org)

There are two different ways going up the mountain, called “Antennas”,because of the antennas of several TV-stations and military radar on top of it.One is leading up from the ECSF research station following the trail totransect two. This trail can only be used if you are member of the ECSFresearch group.

The other trail is going up from the “Planta Electrica”, a water powerstation, down the road from the ECSF. Here watch out carefully for the sine, that says “Antennas Trail”. Everyone can use this trail; just ask friendly anyyou’ll be helped.

Both ways take about four hours, if you don’t hassle. Be sure to takeenough water with you, because there will be no chance refilling your waterbottle on the way. It makes sense going up on a clear sunny day, than you willhave a great view to Zamora. If you bring your binoculars you even can read thetime from the biggest clock of the World, which is supposed to be in Zamora.

When you are on the top of the mountain get as close as you get with thegiven coordinates and watch out for the dish that’s on the picture.

Well, hope you’ll make it.

Have fun eLJey
